  1. Insert Seam Clip under the edge of installed tile, slide the base plate under tile, 2 pieces of Seam Clip should be inserted under each tile edge at least, about 2~3 inches away from tile corners (bigger space for larger or irregular size tile). The recommended space between clips is 6~10 inches.

(When insert Seam Clip under side of tile, do not place them at tile corners. Otherwise, tile will be installed inaccurately, and tile corners may possibly crack or break during clip installation or removal. It may also be very hard to keep the group joint line straight as it is harder to see the corners.)

  2. After insertion of Seam Clip on the side of tiles, install other tiles that fit against the former tile. Then simultaneously push both of the “wings” of Seam Clip in a downward motion until the tile edge is even with the adjoining tile edge, and you will hear a click sound that locks Seam Clip into place.
  3. Repeat this process to set the next tile into place. Make sure to keep grout joints clean from thinset by using a paintbrush or nylon bristle brush to wipe the mud away in the direction of grout line. It is very important to avoid the mud between the touching points of Seam Clip and tile edge to become hardened.

  4.  If tile laying work is not finished in one day, please make sure the removal of thinset or other setting material from the last row of tile, and use Seam Clip base to make a hollow spot under tile edge for the next day laying work.

  5.  In the following day, fill the hollow spot left in the previous day with trowel and thinset, also put enough thinset under the tile. Insert Seam Clip.

  6. After thinset or other setting material becomes solid, remove Seam Clip by using a rubber mallet to hit it in the direction of grout line.

    Attention:

For best result, use loose thinset, but within manufacturers recommendations

Always keep tile back wet during installation.

Remove excess thinset around Seam Clip during installation.

Do not bend Seam Clip before using it.

Do not use Seam Clip under frozen conditions.
